It is now day 18 of our trip which means were past the ¼ mark of our little adventure. Today were gonna be leaving Idaho behind and heading for Lake Tahoe, California. Sun Valley, Idaho has a ton to offer anyone looking for a great resort town, summer or winter. The area around Sun Valley is littered with hundreds of miles of single track that we know about and possibly hundreds more we don’t. It’s the type of place you could easily come and stay for a couple days or a couple months because of its atmosphere towards cycling. The towns population is only that of I think around 5,000. Yesterday on our way to our campsite we saw a group of road riders that was easily 50 strong rolling down the highway. Don’t be fooled though it’s a rather posh town where you can find all amenities that you could possibly want, as long as you have got the monies (which we don’t) Heck none of us have even had a shower since Moab, ya that was 7 days and 5 rides ago, we are the funky bunch)
Since Today is gonna be a 1000km drive were hoping that everything goes smooth and we will be up and riding for Friday morning. We celebrated Canada day last night by buying some truly Canadian beer (kokanee) and splitting a 12 pack (4 beer each, things got wild haha)
Our ride yesterday was very wet with many stream crossings and mud everywhere! Some nice meadows were seen as well.
Ps Dom from your high level of traffic to the blog some people have been questioning if you are also the same guy who poses as The Italian Stallion on Optichat who is consistently asking everyone in the chat room to have private message conversation where you immediately request a/s/l. Also in regard to the beast that was pestering the tent a number of nights ago. I have seen you stop drop and roll like Smokey the bear when confronted by a wild pack of butterflies, you don’t need any more suspense. Oh and Dom on a lighter note we managed to trade the epipen you left in my truck to some guy in town for: 3 sticks of bubble gum, 2 paper clips, and a broken shoe lace.
And as one Andrew Maclain noted on the guestbook, the gun sightings have risen to one, with the up coming 4th of July weekend. It was a particularly nice gun thow, a masive revolver on the dudes belt with a nice cherry handle (it may not have been cherry but it sure was shinning in the sun). Also a few picture to ponder over...
